The name plate on this charming house suggests it may have been made to commemorate King George and Queen Mary`s silver jubilee in 1935.
The twin bay, two storey structure is constructed from timber and plywood and retains its original paint finishes: cream for the chimney pots, barge boards, quoins, string courses and architraves, a faux pebble dash on the first floor and faux brickwork on the ground floor.
The green gutters and downpipes are especially charming as is the hinged and panelled front door behind a pair of marbleized pilasters.
The ground floor bay window is hung with nets and curtains, visible when the hinged front is opened to reveal two internal rooms, each with a chimneypiece to the right and the staircase to the left.
