Edwardian Silver Mounted Crocodile Purse by Ludwig Krumm

This wonderful and unusual Edwardian silver mounted purple crocodile skin purse bears a lovely silver mount with flowers and sinuous stems ; a lovely art nouveau pattern. The silver mount is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1901 along with an Import Mark and the maker's mark for the German maker: LK (Ludwig Krumm). When opened the lovely soft tan coloured interior kid leather is revealed along with an accordion compartment on one side and an enclosed pocket compartment on the other side.

 

A wonderful purse and in lovely clean condition. No damage whatsoever to the silver mount (There is some slight fraying to the bottom right hand corner of the leather - see images, commensurate with age and mentioned for accuracy).

 

Hallmarks: Birmingham 1901 plus import mark, by Lugwig Klumm.
