Chinese Export Silver Top Walking Stick Cane Square Bamboo

Description

Fine Chinese Export square section bamboo (chimonobambusa quadrangularis) walking stick, solid silver handle, brass ferrule, circa 1890.

The unmarked silver head with plain top, the sides with a continuous repousse scene of standing figures in a garden on a grained ground.

In very good sound condition with minimal dents or wear to the silver.

Width of bamboo square shaft 1,1/8" or 24mm/

Length 36,1/4" or 92cm

weight 219 grams.
