Fine Chinese Export malacca walking stick, solid silver handle, brass ferrule, circa 1890.
The hexagonal section silver head marked 90WH, for Wang Hing, Canton and Hong Kong.
The handle with plain top, six side panels a with repousse bamboo, prunus, auspicious calligraphy and seated priest, all on a grained ground.
Quality full bark thick malacca shaft, (no joints) tear drop ridged section.
In very good sound condition with small dents and little wear to the silver, dings and paint spill to the malacca.
Diameter of malacca shaft 1,3/16'' or 30mm
Length 33,1/2'' or 85cm, weight 357 grams.
