Early Nineteenth Century Pocket Scale Set in Toleware Case

Description

For sale, an early nineteenth century set of pocket scales in original toleware case.

Comprised of a steel balance with brass pans suspended on green chord and original fitted toleware case with silk lining to the lid, baize to the base and a fitted section containing to original weights marked 2/16 & 5/8 and both marked with an anchor stamp.

The toleware case retains all of its original tortoiseshell finish with single brass hinge and thumb catch to the front.

Sadly no makers mark but a nice complete set in great condition.
