Regency Mahogany Pole Screen

Description

An imposing Regency Mahogany Pole Screen set with a tapestry wool work panel of a knight on horseback. Handsome detail to the capping finial, joints and carved bun feet. The post anchored to a hyperboloid platform. Tapestry mounted in a frame decorated at each corner with scrolls.

This is a handsome Pole Screen used historically to shield from fireside heat.

Dimensions:

Height: 150 cm

Width of Panel. 38 cm

Height of Panel: 33 cm

Depth: 34 cm

Period: circa 1820
