Large Georgian Mahogany Book Tray

18th century
Description

Fine large size Georgian mahogany book tray of exquisite design and manufacture. Beautiful turnings throughout with side top carrying handles. The base with rounded edge and baize to the base. It has never had turned feet. The overall condition is very good except for a couple of very minor veneer chips to the back corners of the gallery top. All the turnings are original and there is no damage to any of them. The tray is a very nice mellow mahogany colour with waxed finish.
