A mid 19th century black lacquered Papier Mache tray hand pained with colourful flowers and geometric patterns around the rim. Just as practical today as it was 150 years ago and in superb condition. A fine example.

Hand-blown around the time of the Franco-Prussian War, also known as the war of 1870 in France.
