Rare Antique English Mammoth Map Magnifying Glass C.1930

Wow, you need to hands to lift this mammoth magnifying glass, a great look for the library and a real talking point.
 
The handle is made from cast brass and the frame for the glass a polished steel with a screwed construction keeping this huge domed lens in place.
 
Early 20th century, around 1930 and in excellent condition (a few surface scratches to the glass commensurate with age).
 
A rare find measuring a 17 1/2'' long with a frame diameter measuring 9 1/2'' and a lens measuring 8'' in diameter.
