Description

An attractive folio stand (newspaper/magazine stand) in oak from the arts & crafts period & of great quality. To the shaped base is a book trough with slide (book divider missing), the top section with shaped slatted folding folio holder to each side, brass lift handle to centre.

Of great proportions & probably originally made for Liberty’s or to their design. The only marks I can find are impressed numbers 2 04 which I believe relate to a manufacturing date of February 1904.

Measurements given are when folio holders are open, width reduces to 28.5cm when closed.
