Description

Rare telescope / spyglass cockade brisé ivory fan, probably French, circa 1830

Fine pierced ivory leaves and guards.

There is a single-draw brass spyglass forming the central pivot.

One of the guards is half missing and restored with a plain piece, many of the leaves are missing and there is no ribbon.

Length closed 6,1/2" or 165mm, diameter of fan 6,5/8" or 168mm, weight 34 grams.
