What attracted me to this dish ? It was obvious that whoever crafted this dish (Circa 1900) took a lot of care in its execution, and used this commission to showcase his skills to the town's parishioners . I feel the words 'Freely Ye Have Received Freely Give' of course resonates throughout the Christian church but also is a poignant guiding message to us all in these times.
Overall the dish is in very good original condition - with only very slight wear to the rim on the reverse (hardly visible from the front) which was most probably caused as it was repeatedly placed in the same position whilst on display.
Diameter 38.5 cm
