C19th Carved Sycamore Head

Description

Good decorative c19th carved sycamore bust of a gentleman with bags of character and a wicked smile!

Carved from a solid piece of sycamore and tinted to finish.

The top of his hat has a studded copper. Lots of age related drying splits throughout which add to the character.

Finished all around, so it could free stand if required.

Measuring:

14 1/2” or 37cm high

11” or 28cm wide

9 1/2” or 24cm deep

This piece can be posted by courier, so delivery would be £25 + vat ( £30 ) or you are very welcome to come and view and collect from me in Uppingham, Rutland

Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
