Rare 19th century African pottery fetish pig, c 1890. This is a genuine African antique most probably from the Congo. It is naively modelled cast with great paint and applied human or animal hair. The paintwork etc has just the right amount of 'distress'. This is one of the best fetish pieces I have seen in 30 years of collecting. It is in good original condition and has aged well with good colour/patina.
