Description

Victorian Burr Walnut Games Compendium. The box with ebony strung edge and plinth base having hinged lid and hinged front. The interior with a folding board for chess, backgammon and horse race within the lid, a lift-out tray with cribbage board over a set of dominoes with markers and dice, above another tray containing whist markers and playing cards over partitions for bone counters, natural and stained red, a gavel, lead horses, and a dice shaker with further dice. The hinged front with boxwood and ebony chess pieces. Also having the original games compendium book by F.H.Ayers.
