Jason Clarke Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The interior is lined in original morocco leather with its fabric secure to avoid the lid falling back.

The square hand blown decanters are richly ornamented with gilded star and floral motifs to the shoulders and floral motifs to each stopper.
Spirit decanters of this quality and condition from this period are rare. The decanters themselves are invariably of European manufacture with many being imported in the mid-eighteenth century for inclusion in English cases for retail.

Note: there is one very small hairline crack in one of the decanters but it remains sturdy and watertight and does not affect it being put to use.
A very rare survivor and in super condition.
Circa 1785
