Pair of Antique Gold & Tortoiseshell Lorgnettes C1880

Description

This is a superb pair of antique tortoiseshell and gold lorgnettes, French c 1880 and in wonderful original condition.

They have an inset gold cartouche with the initial MB or BM.

The glasses are released by the spring loaded action within the sliding button release.

The genuine tortoiseshell handle is unmarked and undamaged and is 12 cm long and the spring loaded button that releases the glass to pop open works perfectly.
