Pair of C19th French Marble Cassolette Lamps

Description

Stunning pair of French c19th solid marble cassolette lamps with brass ormolu.

Great proportions and great impact through their size, beautifully finished with the garland drapes and Swan necks, laurel leaf decoration to the square bases.

Originally, the brass ormolu would have been highly polished, bright brass tone, but this has aged beautifully and given this lovely "bronze" effect...which could be polished up if required.

Super quality and fantastic marble, great condition, great decor pieces in original condition.

They have now been fully wired with bronze effect braided cord and a side entry for the cable at the bulb fitting

Measuring:

29'' or 74cm to the top of the example shades ( 16'' diameter )

21'' or 53cm to the bulb holder

6” or 15cm square base

Delivery to most England, Wales and Scotland addresses at £55, but please send me your postcode if you are a bit remote or coastal as it could be more...or you are very welcome to collect from me in Uppingham, Rutland

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
