Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
This is one of the largest turned items I've seen of this stripy pattern, The condition is basically pretty good but as you would expect for an items such as this of this age there are a couple of very minor repairs, a couple of minor hairline cracks and a couple of the joints are slightly loose.
The colour is original with great patination with waxed finish.
