A Fine Quality Japanese IVory Okimono Musician

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this finely carved one piece Okimono , the carver has captured a musician sat cross legged on a stool whilst playing a Biwa (stringed instrument) the detail is exquisite , his Kimono in particular is finished in a Shagreen (Shark skin) technique, his face is a picture of happiness as he strums away on his instrument, the stool is carved in realistic wood effect and is signed to the underside in a red lacquer signature seal by an artist known as Muneyasu.
