Exceptional Japanese Okimono Monkey Group Signed by Masatami

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality Japanese ivory okimono signed in a oblong cartouche "Masatami Shomin/Seimin" the exquisite detailed okimono depicts a female monkey surrounded by six of her youngsters , they are clambering all over her body clutching bunches of Persimmon fruits and chestnuts , the body hair is finely incised and stained in great detail , this is a magnificent quality Japanese ivory group perfect for any serious collection.
