Description

Size: 2ft 8in x 2ft 2in (82 x 66cm).

Antique tribal saddle bag with plain weave back. Possibly Afshar Tribe.

Circa 1900.

The saddle bag is of quite large size with a interesting design to the face. The wool is very soft and glossy.

The saddle bag is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile. Note the original decorative closing panel at the top of the bag face. The bag still has its original plain weave back with closing loops at the top.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display. This saddle bag could easily be filled to make a large cushion.
