Antique North Persian Jaf Kurd Bag Face , Nice Yellow and Good Lower Panel, Circa 1900.

Description

Size: 2ft 9in x 2ft 0in (84 x 62cm).

Antique North Persian Jaf Kurd bag face of diamond lattice design with good soft colour including a pleasing yellow.

Circa 1900.

The bag face has rustic drawing with a hooked medallion lattice, surrounded by a floral rosette border, the inner ivory ground border is most attractive.

The design is classic Jaf Kurd.

The bag face is in good condition with even wear and medium pile, there is corrosion to the brows as would be expected, there are a few finger tip size old repairs. The wool is very soft and the bag face has a floppy handle.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
