A spectacular wall-mounted Victorian carved oak shelf. This stunning example of a Gothic bracket – suitable for all sorts of display uses – is comprised of a canted-cornered top with a carved frieze, beneath which are two pierced and carved supports and a pierced tracery back panel. It retains its original finish throughout and can truly be described as an exceptional accessory to any home. English, c.1880s.
