Description

A good 19th century Chinese Hongmu alter table; the well figured rectangular top of traditional cleated form above a carved and pierced archaic frieze, raised on moulded legs headed with carved scroll decoration. Housing shaped open end panels with carved stretchers below terminating in carved scroll feet. All decoration is repeated on the reverse so can be used free standing. Excellent warm colour and good patination.
