As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this wonderful quality carved ivory okimono of a standing goose , the bird stands in an inquisitive pose with his long neck turned to the rear , the carved feather and in particular the neck detail are about as good as you would expect to see , his black eyes inset with jet and his underside nicely signed by an artist known as EIICHI,the bird is so well balanced and stands freely in a cabinet or shelf situation , we have stood the bird on a period hardwood base which is included in the sale price , a great item for your okimono collection.
