Large Japanese Boxwood Articulated Dragon After Myochin

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this large and fine quality articulated dragon , probably styled on the original iron model by Myochin , the dragons main body comprises twenty six overlapping sections covered in spines, his head has inlaid eyes as well as a moving jaw and tongue , the articulated three claw legs are further enhanced with styalised flames, a fascinating example of Japanese engineering tecqniques using a type of boxwood as opposed to metal.
The condition is simply stunning !!
