A Rare Japanese Carved Coral Okimono Of Daikoku

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual carved coral okimono depicting Daikoku the god of good fortune , he has been captured with his usual cheery expression , mallet raised above his head and carrying his swag bag over his shoulder , the detail of the carving is extremly fine considering the material used , the coral is a pink colour throughout with minor white inclusions , a very tactile unusual object.
