Unusual Japanese Mixed Media Bronze And Wood Okimono

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most charming Japanese study of a Toad and Butterfly , the driftwood base has been finely carved and polished to give the most realistic water effect, upon which sits a bronze Toad staring at the gilded butterfly that appears to have just landed, the subject is delightful and so well drawn by the artist , the wood has been scooped out to the underside ,decorated and signed by the artist ITTOUSAI.
