Rare Early 19th Century Oak & Ebony Plate Stand

Description

RARE early 19th century oak and ebony plate stand, much in the style and manner of George Bullock. The rectangular base has an ogee ebonised mould round the base with ebony stringing to the edges.

The back section is also ebonised on the edges with the turned sections for the plates to stand on in solid ebony. The base with what looks like the original green baise. Very heavy as these were always lead filled so they didn't fall over.

These don't turn up very often especially in this condition.

SIZE; 12" by 6" by 14" high
