A Good Japanese Elephant IVory Tusk Bridge On Stand

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this nicely carved Japanese ivory tusk bridge on its original carved wood stand , the one piece ivory tusk section has been carved to form a procession of elephants ascending in order of rank , the old matriach at the front and the siblings and calves following in rank , the tusk section is fitted to its original carved wooden base and is held in place for safety with the addition of a later clip, a great Japanese okimono for display on your shelf or mantlepiece .
 
The condition is lovely and original with no breaks or repairs, just a note, the large elephant trunk had the tusk root plugged when carved.
