Description

A Fine George 1V Mahogany Sarcophagus Wine Cooler Decorated with Carved Fruit. Carved Grape,Pear etc surmount sitting on mitred lid with concave sides and half round edge. The lead lined interior with bottle divisions with brass hinges and hinged lid support. The brass lock stamped T.Turner London. The tapered body having cantered corners decorated with Ribbons and trailing flower heads. All sides with panels within thumb moulded frames. The front panel decorated with carved staff holding grapes, pears,plums and foliage.The plinth with thumb moulded edge sitting on leaf carved scrolled feet with hidden brass roller castors.
