Mixed Metal Monkey Cigarette Case by the Kuroda Company

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this mixed metal inlaid Japanese cigarette case in its original fitted box , the case was manufactured by the Kuroda company of Kyoto , it is formed from a black shakudo type alloy with silver mounts , the front is nicely decorated with the three monkeys see , hear and speak no evil using mixed alloys including silver and shibuichi , the rear depicts mount Fuji picked out in silver inlay , the rear is artist signed and the interior is angraved with the Kuroda company details , in original fitted case , a great collectable !!

The condition is lovely !
