Set of Six Japanese Mixed Metal Napkin Rings in Tomobako

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this unusual set of six Japanese silvered mixed metal napkin rings nicely fitted in their original tomobako , the rings are each decorated in relief with various traditional Japanese subjects to include dragons , fish , chrysanthemums and cranes ,the raised decoration is further enhanced with the use of other alloys and precious metals like gold, the rings are marked to the inside with lozenge trademark for the Hayashi Kodenji cloisonne factory although the mark could be unrelated, either way a great set of useable or collectable napkin rings, the box is inscribed Antique !

The condition is good with expected age related wear.

Diameter 1.75" 4.5 cm
