Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian Sheraton Revival card tables draw inspiration from 18th-century designs by Thomas Sheraton, characterised by classical proportions, delicate timber inlay, and straight, square tapered legs. Produced during the early 20th century, these versatile tables functioned as decorative wall consoles when closed and expanded for gaming when opened.

These tables are primarily constructed from solid mahogany and mahogany veneers, decorated with satinwood stringing, crossbanding, or geometric marquetry. The fold-over top typically pivots on a swivel mechanism or rests on an extending leg to support the open surface.

Authentic period pieces exhibit early 20th-century craftsmanship, including precise joinery, period brass hinges, and natural wood oxidisation on unexposed undersides. Inlays are inlaid flush with the surrounding surface, and legs taper smoothly toward the foot.

When folded closed, the table functions as a compact console in a hallway, entryway, or living room alcove. Styling the top surface with a table lamp, ceramic bowl, or framed print helps integrate the historical piece into contemporary decor.

Dust the wood regularly with a dry microfiber cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish annually along the grain. Keep the table away from direct sunlight and radiators to prevent wood shrinkage, veneer lifting, and colour fading.
