As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality large Japanese ivory Takarabune or lucky treasure boat , this boat is of much more impressive proportions than the average and this shows in the build quality as well as the ivory that has been used, the seven lucky gods seated and going about their business beneath a finely curved and pierced sail raised upon a finely decorated mast,the exquisitly carved hull and decking feature wood effect ivory timbers pinned with bronze studs throughout ,the hull is further decorated with an array of carved mons and decorative rigging , the tiller has been pierced and finely detailed and is fully operational , the flat bottom allows the boat to rest nicely on the super quality pierced hardwood stand that is included in the sale of this item ,it is a treasure but are you going to be the new lucky owner ?
