This Victorian side-table dates from 1880 and comes in mahogany and rosewood with a warm brown finish. The rectangular top has a wide rosewood crossbanded border with alternating dark and light grain patterns, sitting above a moulded frieze and a sturdy X-shaped stretcher uniting four turned and tapered legs that end in splayed feet. A white paper label is attached to one leg. Measuring 91 cm wide by 46 cm deep and 75 cm high, and opening to 91 cm by 91 cm, the table serves well at the end of a sofa or as a versatile display piece in a living room, hallway or study within a home today.
