A stylish set of 19th century wall-hanging shelves in mahogany. These high quality shelves have a wavy three-quarter gallery upstand and and three serpentine-fronted shelves united by unusual double C-scroll supports with applied roundels. At the back are two X-frame slat supports which are visually striking as well as affording greater rigidity. These beautiful Victorian shelves are made from top quality timbers – well-figured, and with a rich colour and a glowing original patina. English, c.1875 – c.1900.
