As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality gold lacquered Japanese inro , the inro is made up of five sections sliding on a red cord, when closed it depicts landscape scenes to both sides built up from dozens of layers of lacquer , really incredible work and still so undervalued , the sections open to reveal compartments for pills and potions , there is an original label to the underside which was probably the seller and inside one of the sections is a paper label probably signed by the artist.

The condition of the inro is lovely , the lacquer is nor rubbed and the sections are all complete with no lip damage , there are two minor nibbles to the edge of the middle section ,minimal but pointed out for accuracy, a great quality collectable for your cabinet !
