Victorian Carved Black Forest Deers Head with Real Antlers

Description

We are delighted to offer this most unusual black forest carved wooden deer or stags head from the Victorian period, the beauty of this item is that it has a real set of deer's antlers fitted to the top of the carved head , great for those people who would like a trophy head without the taxidermy and ideal for the black forest collectors , mounted on a carved shield .

The condition is lovely and original , there have been a few old worm holes in the past as is usual for this soft wood , the head could be waxed to a shiny finish or just left as is , your choice !
