Magnificent (Lace Quality) Chinese Ivory Fan Cantonese

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to be able to offer this simply stunning quality Cantonese carved ivory fan , at first glance you will assume it is lace because it is so fine , well it is made up of 21 ivory blades so finely carved into a pictoral scene with so much going on it is impossible to describe ,all enclosed by a further pair of deeper carved protective blades.

Condition is everything with these fans , i dont know how but the ivory has remained PERFECT , i cannot find a single piece of damage or restoration , the silk ribbon would need replacing thats it !! if it were going into my collection i would have it framed behind glass on a red or black background to keep it safe forever, it is that important , if you want one you will struggle to find better !

Approximate length is 18.75cm
