Japanese Ivory Netsuke and Ojime Meiji Period 1868-1912

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to offer this lovely Japanese ivory netsuke with the benefit of an attached signed ojime , this most gorgeous carved netsuke depicts a mythical fox like character wearing a hooded cloak and stood resting upon a staff , the well carved ojime depicts a snake entwined amongst foliage .

The condition of the netsuke is great with no damage the ojime being a slightly darker colour and perfect .

Approximate height of netsuke 6.5cm
