Stunning Japanese Gold and Silver Inlaid Bronze Dish Meiji Period 1868-1912

1900 - 1920
Description

This is the most unusual fan shaped bronze dish of the highest quality inlaid in gold and silver simply depicting a crane stood in a willow tree probably waiting to feed , the handle of the dish is so finely detailed in a floral niello type silver work below a fan shaped raised bronze decorated pattern surrounded by a gold border , the underside sits on a rim foot and is so perfectly balanced with a reddish patina inside which sits a superb silver signature , i am still working on who made it but one thing for sure he was a bronze master !!

Condition is absolutely gorgeous do not miss it !
