Japanese Meiji Ivory Okimono

Description

Lovely japanese ivory group of a gentlemen trader carrying his wares on his back resting on his stick with a young girl by his side holding her fan whilst kneeling to rest .

The photos do not do justice to this delightfull group , they are in perfect condition and are a lovely mellow colour with fine quality carving and stained etching.

Signed on the base and straight from a private collection in Dorset.

Approximately 17cm high sat on a substantial base.
