Marylebone Antiques has dated this Inlaid Walnut Centre Table to the 1900s.
The top has cross banded edges and lovely inlaid walnut designs, with crisp carving on the outer edges. The sides and drawer front also have cross banded edges, the drawer has detailed brass handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The most striking aspect of this piece is the base, the beautifully shaped legs have finely carved neoclassical figures at the top of each leg. This stands on scrolled feet that are joined together by a wonderful cross framed stretched base, that has a substantial and beautifully carved finial in the centre. This is nicely finished on all sides, it is designed to be used as a free standing item.

We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with just some extremely minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there.
