Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

A George III tripod table is an 18th-century occasional table featuring a central turned stem supported by three outward-curving legs. This design provided stability on the uneven floorboards typical of period homes.

These tables were primarily crafted from solid mahogany or oak. Construction methods included hand-carved central columns, hand-cut dovetail or pegged joints, and solid wood block mountings beneath the tabletop.

Authentic period examples exhibit signs of hand-tooling on unseen surfaces, uneven timber shrinkage across the top, and original patination on the turned column and legs.

Position the piece as an accent table beside a sofa or armchair to provide a surface for a task lamp, or place it in a quiet corner with decorative ceramics.

Maintain the finish by dusting regularly with a soft cloth and applying a clear beeswax polish once or twice a year, keeping the table away from direct heat sources and direct sunlight.
