A magnificent Regency-era carved wood composition pelmet by the esteemed carver and gilder D.J. McLauchlan, London.
The back of the carving is lined in rich burgundy, adding depth and warmth to the design.

This exceptional pelmet was originally sourced from Staunton Park, Leominster, and purchased from Harrods' antique department over 40 years ago. It remains in good condition, with light wear to the gold leaf finish and a small, age-appropriate repair to the central foliate carving. These signs of age are consistent with its historical provenance and enhance its character.
