MebleinUK has dated this Regency Mahogany Drop Leaf Table to the 19th Century.
The table features a richly figured mahogany top, displaying wonderful natural grain, colour and depth throughout. Two hinged drop leaves allow the table to be transformed from a relatively compact piece into a generous rectangular table measuring approximately 114 cm x 114 cm when fully opened.
It stands on an elegant central pedestal terminating in four swept legs. Particularly attractive are the decorative brass-mounted paw feet, complete with castors a classic Regency detail which gives the table considerable presence and character.
A useful central drawer provides additional storage while maintaining the clean proportions of the design.
The combination of the warm figured mahogany, dark pedestal base and aged brass detailing creates a very distinctive period appearance. It would work beautifully as a dining table, centre table, sofa table or statement occasional table in both traditional and more eclectic interiors.
This is a very heavy, substantial and well-made antique table, rather than a lightweight later piece.

The table is in very good antique condition, remaining strong, stable and fully functional.
