A beautiful and unusual antique William IV mahogany demi-lune console table, dating from approximately 1830–1850.

This elegant piece features a beautifully shaped semi-circular top with a rich mahogany finish and attractive natural grain. The top incorporates a hinged section which opens to reveal a useful concealed storage compartment, adding an interesting and practical element to the design.

The table is particularly distinguished by its impressive architectural base. The central front support is richly carved with classical scroll and foliate decoration and terminates in a beautifully carved paw foot. Two simpler rear supports provide balance, all standing on a shaped platform base which follows the elegant curves of the table.

Presented in very good antique condition, with attractive age-related patina and signs of previous use consistent with a piece approaching two centuries old.
