Description

Norris of London patent adjustable 17 1/2" long A71 beech panel plane in used but OK condition. The beech body is OK  still with a pretty decent mouth. Gunmetal lever cap and 1922 patent adjuster. Original thick Norris London parallel iron and backing iron of which there is 7/8" left to the slot. The rear handle is worn on both sides of the spur and has a solid hairline near the base. Priced accordingly.

This 1910 industrial woodworking tool is a Norris London A71 beech panel plane finished in a warm brown colour. The solid beech body holds a steel cutting iron, a backing iron, a gunmetal lever cap, and a brass adjustment mechanism, complemented by a shaped rear wooden handle fixed with a screw. Signs of age include wear on both sides of the handle's spur, a solid hairline near the base of the handle, and surface marks across the wooden stock. The plane measures 44 cm long.
